Days of Fun and Sun: Sea Turtles

For sea turtles, the beach is home – the place where life begins.

Maybe we should all take a lesson from sea turtles.

Unlike the sea turtle hatchlings, most of us don’t begin our lives on the beach, yet there’s something awe-inspiring that draws humans to the natural beauty of the coast.

Watching the waves of the Gulf roll in and the horizon disappear gives us a rare glimpse at just how big the world around us is – and, at least briefly, a reprieve from the stresses and demands of daily life. No wonder so many people feel refreshed and renewed after a day at the beach!

Like a sea turtle breaking out of its shell, we have a clean slate, a new beginning – and quite possibly, new direction in our lives.
