New 30A Winery Coming Soon: Duplin Winery

North Carolina-based Duplin Winery will soon be breathing new life into the former site of Hombre Golf Club in Panama City Beach, just 15 minutes from our ultimate beach house on 30A.

Duplin Winery plans to open the 35,000-square-foot winery – its third location – by January 2022 and, as of February 2021, has already broken ground on the project. Despite the massive size of the complex, the company has announced its intention to preserve 20 acres of beautiful natural scenery on the property.

The company’s commitment to fun times elevates a trip to Duplin Winery from merely a wine tasting or a booze run to a full-blown experience. Aside from an expertly guided wine tasting, visitors to the new winery will enjoy hand-bottling demonstrations, live music and the winery’s own signature gourmet crackers and cheese dip.

Families – even those with young children – will have a great time visiting what the company calls a “true entertainment destination.” Duplin Winery’s Sweetzer frozen drinks, which are slated to be served on-site alongside the wine, can be made alcohol-free for the enjoyment of those under the legal drinking age and adults who choose not to imbibe.

The Best Wines and Wineries in 30A Florida

30A Wine

You can’t talk about wines and wineries on 30A without mentioning 30A Wines. The region’s new signature line of premium wines is the result of a collaboration between the 30A Company and Chan Cox, wine industry legend and founder of local retail chain Wine World.

Locals and tourists alike rave about 30A Wines. The 30A Chardonnay wine is a crisp and delicious white wine that is full of the bright, fruity flavors – like white peach, orange blossom, and citrus – that perfectly match the sunny, life-is-good vibe of the Emerald Coast. More recent additions to this premium line of locally inspired wines include the 30A Pinot Noir and the 30A Rosé.

Traditionally held in February, tickets generally go on sale to the public as early as November – and they have been known to sell out quickly.

Southern Living and Travel + Leisure have highlighted the wonder of our little section of the Florida Panhandle, naming Inlet Beach among the top “beaches that look like the Caribbean” and South Walton County a “trending destination” for 2022. Read more about what they had to say.
