A new attitude starts here!
Ahhhhh…
Breathe in that Gulf breeze, and it transports you to a world of relaxation.
Stress tends to melt away with our breathtaking beach views in the background, but that doesn’t mean you can’t help it along. A massage, facial, mani-pedi or other luxurious spa treatment is just what you need to make your stay on 30A the perfect getaway.
The Emerald Coast is home to numerous types of spas and salons. From beauty bars to medical spas, these diverse facilities provide almost endless options for relaxation and the pampering experience of a lifetime.
What kinds of massage will you find near your luxury accommodations at Latitudes and Attitudes beach house? Swedish massage, sports massage, deep tissue massage, medical massage, chiropractic massage, neuromuscular massage, hot stone massage… and that’s just to name a few!
If you’re new to the world of massage therapy – or you’re eager to switch up your routine with a new type of spa service – here’s what you can expect from these numerous types of massage techniques.
Spas in the 30A Florida region provide many different services meant to improve physical and mental wellbeing. Here, you will find skilled therapists performing everything from reiki energy healing to reflexology manipulation of pressure points in the hands and feet, from the use of tiny needles for acupuncture to the use of suction cups in the practice of cupping.
Who said pampering is only for the ladies? We could all benefit from spa treatments like relaxing massages, facials, manicures and pedicures, especially during a vacation in a hidden gem like 30A Florida. Many local spas offer gentlemen’s facials, manicures, pedicures and other services tailored specifically for men’s relaxation and aesthetic needs.
30A medical spas are able to provide a much greater range of aesthetic services than your typical massage studio. Dermaplane exfoliation employs a surgical scalpel to remove dead skin cells, essentially shaving them off of your skin. As the name suggests, microneedling is a technique in which small needles create tiny punctures in the skin, usually of the face, to urge the body to produce more collagen and improve the appearance of skin. Some medical spas take microneedling a step further and perform a procedure called a platelet-rich plasma (PRP) facial, which was made popular by celebrity Kim Kardashian and, due to the practice of using plasma from your own blood, has been colloquially termed the “vampire facial.”
For hair and makeup services, look no further than the numerous salons and beauty bars along the Emerald Coast. Here, you’ll find hair cutting and styling services, waxing services, professional makeup application, sunless tanning and other services that leave you looking and feeling your best.
How much will you spend on spa treatments in 30A Florida? That depends on where you go and what you do – but, generally, the costs of spa treatments here are in line with or slightly above the cost nationwide. You can certainly find luxury spa experiences that will cost much more than your neighborhood massage parlor, if that’s what you’re looking for, but you can also find high-quality services that are surprisingly affordable in our area.
Massage costs in the 30A Florida region range from $75 to $130 for a one-hour appointment. Some spas charge different rates depending on whether you choose Swedish, deep tissue, hot stone or other types of massage techniques. Couples massages can be particularly appealing for a romantic night out but tend to cost more than two separate massage services. Longer services, naturally, cost more, with 90-minute massages costing in the range of $143 to $180. Enhancements and add-ons can often add $10 to $20 to your service.
Although you might find prices somewhat higher in our area than the $50 to $90 reported by CostHelper as the typical cost across the United States for a 60-minute massage, many of our local spas are surprisingly affordable. The option to customize your massage length, techniques and enhancements give you a lot of control over the cost. Some 30A spas even offer express massage services lasting as little as 25 minutes for a quick pampering that won’t interfere with your adventure plans.
For a facial, you could pay anywhere from $70 to $155, with more extravagant procedures costing much more than simple ones. If you’re interested in reflexology, you should expect to pay around $90 for a 45-minute service, but you may also have the option to add reflexology services onto a massage package for considerably less. An hour of reiki energy healing service in our area can range from $75 to $95.
Acupuncture services can cost as little as $85, which is in line with the usual initial visit cost of acupuncture throughout the United States, CostHelper reported. Cupping costs may range from $45 to $70 for a separate appointment that lasts 20 to 30 minutes, but again, it may also be integrated into an acupuncture service as an enhancement at a lower cost.
Many spas perform signature body treatments or culturally-informed rituals for which the costs vary widely – from $75 to $180, depending on the length and complexity of the service. For chemical peels, you’re looking at costs between $99 and $150.
Dermaplane exfoliation services may cost around $75 on their own but can often be included as part of a package with a mini or full-length facial. For microneedling services, you’re likely to pay quite a bit more – $300 for one basic treatment and $600 for a PRP facial treatment, which requires your blood to be drawn and processed to harvest the plasma from it.
Waxing costs vary a lot by body part, commonly ranging from as little as $10 for lip waxing up to $90 for Brazilian or full-leg waxes.
Basic manicures may cost as little as $35, but more luxurious manicure services can cost up to $70 – and certain procedures, like gel removal or French polish, add to the price. Similarly, pedicures may cost as little as $45 or as much as $135.
