Inlet Beach

Throughout your stay at Latitudes and Attitudes, Inlet Beach will become your home-away-from-home.

Visit Phillips Inlet, the beach town’s namesake, where South Walton County meets Bay County.

Explore the 13 acres of protected sand dunes and beautiful Lake Powell, one of the rare coastal dune lakes found in just a handful of places around the world.

Shop and dine your way through 30Avenue, a unique upscale district in walking distance from Latitudes and Attitudes.

In recent years, Walton County, Florida, has placed artificial reefs throughout the Gulf to facilitate recreational and research activities. Right off the coast of Latitudes and Attitudes ultimate beach house, you will find Cobia Snorkel Reef, easily accessible by kayak, paddleboard or swimming. This fish-shaped reef is home to 94 different ecosystem reefs and expected to provide homes to a wide array of octopi, sea turtles and fish ranging from tiny to huge.

Rosemary Beach

Just a mile down the road from Inlet Beach is Rosemary Beach. In the most high-end wedding destination in the South, six-figure luxurious fairytale weddings are the norm.

Seacrest Beach

Santa Rosa Beach

A journey through the beaches of 30A isn’t complete without a visit to the Santa Rosa Beach community and its neighbors, Seagrove Beach and Grayton Beach. Here, you will find more coastal dune lakes, beautiful state parks and, of course, the amazing Gulf views that make the 30A region one of the most picturesque destinations in America.

There are plenty of ways to keep active in Seagrove and Santa Rosa. Rent a bike, kayak or boat and see the sights. Reel ’em in onboard a fishing charter or get an underwater view while snorkeling or scuba diving. Hike your way through miles of coastal forest trails in Grayton Beach State Park and Point Washington State Forest. There’s so much variety that you’re bound to find something for every member of your group to enjoy, from art museums to relaxing spas.

Seaside Beach

How could anyone not feel cheerful when surrounded by the colorful pastel homes and breathtaking Gulf views of Seaside Beach? Seaside was the first New Urbanist town in the world, which means that it was planned to be walkable and environmentally friendly.

Another of Seaside’s claims to fame is as the setting for Jim Carey’s 1998 film The Truman Show.

Hungry? Walk on over to Food Truck Row in Central Square and grab a snack from one of the permanent Airstream trailers serving BBQ, fresh-squeezed juice, shaved ice, grilled cheese sandwiches and gourmet hot dogs. Check out the Seaside Farmers Market, open on select days, for a taste of the best produce Florida has to offer, as well as baked goods, other retail items and activities like live cooking demonstrations. Catch a concert or other live show at Seaside Repertory Theatre, or outdoors at the Seaside Amphitheatre.

Blue Mountain Beach

Named for the view from the Gulf of the blue lupine flower dotting the sand dunes, Blue Mountain, Florida, isn’t exactly a mountain, but it is the highest elevation on the Gulf. Visitors to Blue Mountain enjoy a unique view as they look out over the beach below.

The small community is perfect for cycling, with access to Timpoochee Trail – the 18.6-mile paved bike path that extends the length of Highway 30A – at mile marker 5. Follow the winding walkways of wooden boards through the hills and valleys of the sand dunes to one of the most beautiful beaches in America. Above all else – relax! Let the laid-back, easygoing feel of Blue Mountain Beach wash away all of your worries.

Destin

Once you’ve savored the small-town feel of our 30A beach communities, you might feel recharged enough to seek out the hustle and bustle of the city. Just 10 miles from the western end of 30A is Destin, a major city which bills itself as “The World’s Luckiest Fishing Village.”

While Destin certainly is a great place to fish (just charter a local vessel and you’ll be on your way to a great catch!), that’s certainly not all the city has to offer. Shoppers will delight in the close proximity of major retail stores and the great deals at Silver Sands Premium Outlets, home to 110 outlet stores. Watersports ranging from Waverunner riding to parasailing are popular in the harbor. Explore more of Destin with a Segway or snorkeling tour. Relax with a luxurious massage or float therapy at one of the dozens of spas in the city. Or, live it up at Big Kahuna’s Water and Adventure Park, The Track Family Fun Park, Fat Daddy’s Arcade or one of the numerous other entertainment centers that offer everything from bowling and minigolf to escape rooms, laser tag and unique virtual reality experiences.

Panama City Beach

About 15 miles east of Latitudes and Attitudes in Inlet Beach is Panama City Beach, home to Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport and itself a well-known tourist destination. About a 10-minute drive to the east is Panama City Beach, which offers numerous attractions you won’t find anywhere else, from Cobra Adventure Park and Shipwreck Island Waterpark to Seacrest Wolf Preserve.

Staying in Inlet Beach gives you the best of both worlds. You’re far enough to escape the crowds and enjoy the hidden gem that is the 30A beach communities, but close enough for a day-long excursion to Panama City Beach’s top attractions.
